Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("you" or "User") and [Your legal name or company — e.g. "Miguel de los Santos, operating as myCFPCoach"] ("we", "us", "myCFPCoach") governing your use of the myCFPCoach website, application, and API (the "Service") at mycfpcoach.app. By creating an account, generating a proposal, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What the Service Is

myCFPCoach helps conference speakers research a target conference, coach a talk idea into proposal drafts using an AI model, and track submissions. The Service is currently offered free of charge, in beta, and may change, be limited, or be discontinued at any time.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. Signing in uses Google OAuth via Supabase — we don't collect or store passwords ourselves. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your Google account secure.

3. AI-Generated Content — Read This

Proposals, titles, fit scores, and every other coached output are generated by an AI modeland are drafts, not guarantees. They may contain inaccuracies, invented-sounding specifics, or claims that don't match your actual experience. You are solely responsible for fact-checking, editing, and verifying anything before you submit it to a real conference, employer, or anyone else. 4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to, and not to help anyone else:

• Circumvent, disable, or attempt to bypass rate limits, usage quotas, or the anonymous/signed-in generation caps;
• Scrape, mass-download, or systematically extract data from the Service outside the documented MCP API;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the system prompts or model configuration behind the Service;
• Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or infringes anyone's intellectual property;
• Submit someone else's talk, bio, or work as your own, or otherwise misrepresent authorship;
• Resell, sublicense, or offer the Service (or outputs generated at scale) as a competing commercial product without our written permission;
• Use automated means (bots, scripts) to create accounts or generate proposals beyond normal individual use;
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or interfere with its normal operation.

We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, for any violation of this section or any use that we reasonably believe harms the Service, other users, or third parties.

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to the talk ideas, documents, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it — including sending it to our AI provider and, where you opt in, a Sessionize feed lookup — solely to deliver the Service to you. We don't claim ownership of Your Content and don't sell it.

Saved proposals, when you save them, are snapshotted into an internal, anonymized outcomesdataset used to evaluate whether the coach's own fit-score predictions are calibrated against real conference decisions. See the Privacy Policy for retention details.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties — Google (sign-in), Anthropic (AI generation), Supabase (database/auth), Vercel (hosting/analytics), and, when you provide a link, Sessionize (read-only CFP data). We don't control and aren't responsible for these services' availability, accuracy, or their own terms, which apply to your use of them independently.

7. Fees

The Service is currently free. We may introduce paid tiers, usage-based pricing, or change free-tier limits in the future; we'll make a reasonable effort to give notice before any change that affects your existing usage.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT A COACHED PROPOSAL WILL BE ACCEPTED BY ANY CONFERENCE, THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR FACTUAL.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, OPPORTUNITY, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT — EVEN IF WE'VE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED [$100 USD, or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater].

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or content you submit to a conference or elsewhere based on a coached proposal.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms, at our discretion, and may discontinue the Service entirely.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your state/country — e.g. "the State of Delaware, USA"], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts located there unless applicable law requires otherwise.
